Fabindia Vitamin E De-Pigmentation Cream

Today I am going to review Fabindia Vitamin E De-Pigmentation Cream.

Price : 275/- for 100ml

My Experience :

I had heard before about the brand named Fabindia, bought its lip balm and was quite satified with it. So I thought of purchasing this de-pigmentation cream from that same brand. As the summer had tanned both my face and hands (due to various reasons!!). I was thinking about getting a parlour session done to de-tan my skin and bring it back to its normal condition and then, I came across this product. I must admit that I am more than happy that I found it!! I bought it from an online drugstore .

Fabindia Vitamin E De-Pigmentation Cream comes in that traditional Fabindia jar. The look of the jar is simple and yet classy. The cream is in white consistency which blends properly with the skin leaving non-greasy feeling to the skin. However, for my combination skin type it gets oily after 2 hours of application. I used this daily, twice after cleansing my face with a cleanser and after applying the toner, for two weeks. But I needn’t wait for two weeks as the results were instant!! Yes!! I found that after 8 days of application the tan on my skin started fading away and my skin got an even tone all over my face. I was very happy with the results, so I started applying it to my hands (since it has got a lot of deep tanning) and here, this took a lot of time..around 1month but still it did work. The tanned skin on my hand started fading away, though not completely..but still I can see the difference.

It is a miracle, for the price it offers and the quality it delivers to you. A must try!

A major drawback is that it contains parabens. However, this shouldn’t bother you, as you only need to apply till your tan fades away and after that you can stop applying it and still find your face glowing with even skin tone.

Pros of the Product :

1. It de-tans the skin on face in less than 2 weeks.
2. Its cheap when compared to the quality it delivers.
3. Your skin becomes even toned and glowing even after you stop applying it, which is a major advantage as we all know that there are various products in the market which keep your skin supple and glowing only until you use it regularly. But once you stop, they stop showing results and your skin gets back to its condition  where it was before application of the product, sometimes it gets worse.
4. The cream consistency is oil free, though I observed that in extreme hot climate my skin started getting oily after 2 hours of application.
5. It has got a pleasant citrus fragrance, which I personally adore it!
6. It doesn’t leave a white cast, post application unlike those Neutrogena products.
7. You can save the salon cost and have the permanent results with you.

Cons of the Product :

1. It contains parabens.
2. It contains a controversial ingredient called kojic acid.

Apart from this I did not find any drawback with the product.

Final Review : Fabindia Vitamin E De-Pigmentation Cream is the perfect cream which de- tans your skin and makes your uneven skin tone to a perfect, glowy even toned skin, which is easy on pockets as well as the results are permanent!

Nivea Fruity Shine Pink Guava

Today I am going to review about Nivea Fruity Shine Pink Guava.

Price : 129/- for 4.8gm

My Experience :

I am a fan of Nivea’s Fruity Shine lip balms! I almost bought all the lip balms from this range and I love them. Speaking about Pink Guava, I bought this lip balm actually because the package attracted me a lot. The pink color of the cap is too pretty but the balm looks a bit darker than the cap’s color. When I opened the cap I was welcomed by a yummy smell from the balm!

This lip balm glides on beautifully on lips, imparting a beautiful yet subtle pink hint to the lips. It has got tiny shimmer particles, very very fine shimmer particles that you’d rarely observe on your lips but when swatched elsewhere you can see it only when you try to remove the balm from your skin. When 2-3 swipes are applied, it gives a beautiful color to the lips, however it doesn’t completely hide the pigmented lips, but still it gives a nice pink color which is comfortable even on pigmented lips. It even gives a glossy look to the lips, as you can see in the pictures below :

It is a very good lip balm for daily wear, it suits almost all types of skin tones. However, this doesn’t stay for longer duration, it hardly lasts for an hour or so.

Pros of the Product :

1. Very cheap.
2. It contains SPF 15.
3. When 2-3 swipes are applied you can attain your desired color alongwith glossy appearance to your lips.
4. The color shows well on non-pigmented lips as well as on pigmented lips.
5. This color would suit almost all types of skin tones.

Cons of the Product :

1. Staying power is very less.
2. It doesn’t completely hide pigmented lips, though it still looks comfortable on pigmented lips.

Apart from these, I find this a very good lip balm.

Final Review : Nivea Fruity Shine – Pink Guava is a tinted lip balm which adds color, protects lips with SPF 15 and adds a glossy look to the lips. It is suitable to everyone. Though it doesn’t completely hide the pigmented lips, yet it does give a healthy look to it. College going girls would like it. I would recommend this to everyone!!

Lotus Herbals Basiltone

Today, I am going to review a toner from the brand Lotus Herbals and i.e. Lotus Herbals Basiltone.

Price : 195/- for 100ml

A beautiful skin requires a good skincare regime. Cleansing, Toningand Moisturizing are the three essential steps which everyone must follow in order to attain a beautiful, healthy skin.

Basically a skin toner performs these  essential tasks for your skin :

1. It tightens the pores.
2. It provides deeper cleansing acti0n on your skin.
3. It balances the pH levels within your skin.
4. It controls oil.
5. It can also improve the elimination of toxins, whisk away impurities and leave the skin feeling fresh and clean.

Therefore, we need to include a skin toner in our daily skincare regime.

However, we basically have 3 types of toners and they are : 

1. Skin bracers or fresheners

These are the mildest form of toners; they contain virtually no alcohol (0-10%), water, and a humectant such as glycerine. Humectants help to keep the moisture in the upper layers of the epidermis by preventing it from evaporating. A popular example of this is rosewater. These toners are the gentlest to the skin, and are most suitable for use on dry, dehydrated, sensitive and normal skins. It may give a burning sensation to sensitive skin.

2. Skin tonics

These are slightly stronger and contain a small quantity of alcohol (up to 20%), water and a humectant ingredient. Orange flower water is an example of a skin tonic. Skin tonics are suitable for use on normal, combination, and oily skin.

3. Astringents

These are the strongest form of toner and contain a high proportion of alcohol (20-60%), antiseptic ingredients, water, and a humectant ingredient. These are commonly recommended for oily skins as they are drying, but note that the removal of oil from the skin can lead to excess oil production as the skin tries to compensate for this and prevent moisture loss.[citation needed] Witch hazel is an example of an astringent. To prevent dehydration, astringent is best applied only to problem areas of skin, such as spots.

According to your skin type you should use the toners.

• As Dry and Sensitive skinned beauties should opt for skin freshening toners.
• Combination skinned beauties may opt for any of the three according to the skin’s condition as for combination type it gets oily at summers and dry at winters, so accordingly you must use.
• Coming to Oily skinned beauties, they can opt for the astringents as they would help to control the oil.

Coming to Lotus Herbals Basiltone toner 

Lotus Herbal Basiltone toner comes in a sturdy plastic bottle with a pump. And it is made in a way that only two pumps are enough to cover your face and neck. The bottle is transparent so that you can see how much product is left, while using it.

It is basically for combination and oily skin types. I had been using this toner since 3 months from now and am quite satisfied with the results. It is a non- alcoholic toner which doesn’t sting my eyes and at the same time performs its job perfectly.

Since, i don’t have visible pores on my skin, therefore I cannot say anything about the pore reducing ability of this product. However, it does control the secretion of oil to a very good extent. I also observed that, when applied alone it doesn’t completely dry out my skin.

Here are the swatches of the toner :

Pros of the Product :

1. It doesn’t sting unlike other alcohol based toners.
2. Price is justified with the quality and quantity that it offers.
3. One bottle easily lasts for 2 months, even if its used daily, thrice a day, which also makes it pocket friendly.
4. Maintains the pH balance of the skin.
5. It controls the oil secretion to a good extent.
6. It helps absorb moisturizer/essence faster than normally the skin would do when applied without it.

Cons of the Product :

1. It is only suitable for combination and oily skinned beauties, dry skinned beauties must keep this at bay as it results in drying the skin faster.

Apart from this, i don’t find any con of this product.

Final Review : Lotus herbals basiltone Toner is a good toner which doesn’t sting the eyes as well as maintains the pH balance of the skin by controlling the oil secretion. I would recommend this to combination and oily skinned beauties.
